Creating a PDF from a PPT with Hyperlinks

Creation of PDF (Adobe 7.03) from a Microsoft PowerPoint 2002 SP3/2003
presentation with hyperlinks produces wrong hyperlinking in PDF if more than
one slide is deleted from the PowerPoint after hyperlinks were created.

After the slides were removed, I retested the PPT and the links functioned
properly. I then created the PDF and the hyperlinks in the PDF were off by
the number of slides I removed.

Has anyone seen this? I have contacted Adobe and they have no answer.

Weird.

I don't have 7 installed as yet but I'd like to get a peek at a PPT that
exhibits this problem.

Can you create a very simple example, perhaps a 4-slide PPT with a link from
slide 1 to slide 3. Test that, make sure it converts to PDF as expected, save
it, then delete slide 2, save it to a new PPT file and make PDF again.

If it still goofs up, email me both PPTs ( email to steve at-sign pptools dot
com )

It's possible that there's a way to repair the PPT but I'd have to see it to
know for sure.

Update: Pete's sent me some test files (thanks, Pete!) and it looks like we may
have a solution. I've sent Pete some test files (thanks, Steve!) so Pete can run
them through Acrobat 7 and (thanks, Pete!) let me know. And we'll let you know.
