Powerpoint won't open after being saved

powerpoint can't read the outline (has path to the ppt file here). No text
converter is installed

Someone "saved" my wife's power point at work today. Now she can't open it,
but just gives this message. We're not sure what they did, but we want to
open it and save the data. I've tried opening power point first and then
going to the file, and clicking directly on the file. Either way leaves the
same result

Out of curiosity, which version of PPT was the file saved in, and which
version of PPT are you trying to open it with?

I'm not exactly sure which version it was saved in on the work computer. My
wife had it open and was working on it -- I think she created it in version
2003, and it opened just fine on the work computer. Someone else "saved" the
file, but we don't know what they did. When she tries to open it again in
2003 or on my computer which has 2007, it still won't open.
Thanks!
