Open ppsx in PowerPoint 2002

I am using PowerPoint 2002. Old I know but will upgrade with OS7!

I am trying to open a ppsx file so I can save it as a ppt file to do some
tweaking to it. I downloaded the Files Format Converters exe file and ran it
but when I go to open a ppsx it won't open.

The ppsx file will open in the XML Converter but I can't get it to open in
PowerPoint.

Any thoughts (read HELP) would be appreciated.

How do you try to open the file? Please do not double-click in Windows
Explorer, but open PowerPoint first, then use File - Open to open the PPSX
file.

Ute:

I have tried this but error message says no text convetter for this file
type is found.

ppsx and pptx don't show up in the Open dialogue box so I choose All Files
to see it.

I have used all of the OPEN options but still nothing.

I assume with "File Format Converter" you are referencing to the
Compatibility Pack. What you download is an installation pack. Did you
install it? Close PowerPoint, then run the installation file for the
compatibility pack. Restart your computer. After that, you should be able to
use File - Open and scroll down in the file type box and find the new file
formats near the bottom of the list.
