PowerPoint Templates

I need help with Powerpoint 2003.

I have created a Master template and individual templates for separate
pages.

I have made sure they are labeled correctly, i.e., .pot. I have made sure
they are int he same place as the other pwerpoint templates. I have tried to
apply the templates and they do not work.

Even starting with brand new BLANK document, I cannot get the templates to
work. PPT lets me go browse to the template and indicates it is applying it
it, but does not. I go to slide design under format. It even displays it
(incorrectly) on the right hand side of the screen as being used in the
presentation, yet my presentation is BLANK. Int he desplay to the right the
verbage says the normal Lorem Ipsum, but when you roll the mouse over it it
shows my file name......

I've worked on this for hours......I hope someone can help.....

Did you make your changes to the slide masters, or did you just format
slides and then save as POT?

I have tried both.

??

You must make your formatting changes on the master slides in order for them
to work as a template. Maybe start here with tutorials on creating
templates.

http://www.indezine.com/products/powerpoint/ppcreatemp.html

http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorials/tutorials.htm (click "creating
templates" in the box labeled PowerPoint Basics)

If you work through those steps for creating templates and things still
don't work as you expect, then holler back.
