POWERPOINT 2003 DOESN'T RECOGNIZE TEMPLATE.POT FILES

I loaded microsoft office 2003 on my home computer which has microsoft XP.
Once loaded i tried to use powerpoint 2003. At the blank presentation, i
tried to change the template by using one of the available templates
(ocean.pot). I received an error message stating powerpoint doesn't
recognize the ocean.pot file and said it may not be a powerpoint file.
Powerpoint would not let me change the blank presentation to any of the
available templates. Any ideas how to fix this?

Hello,

This is most likely caused by the version of the anti-virus plug-in for
Office that is installed on your system. Check out the following KB article
about how to disable and/or update the plug-in:
