I'm a graduate business management student in an environment that depends
upon productivity software to survive. Many course textbooks now come with a
CD/DVD that contains a wealth of course content. PowerPoint presentations
from these discs are routinely used by professors to give their classes, and
students are required to print their own copies to follow along/take notes
during class. When I tried to print my Business Statistics slides in
PowerPoint 2007, it would print all slide content correctly EXCEPT the text
boxes containing sophisticated equations. Unfortunately, the equations are
the most important information on the slides!
PowerPoint 2007 should be designed to correctly print all content in
PowerPoint presentations developed in any other version. While I do not know
which version was used to prepare these slides, I'm certain it wasn't 2007
since the slides were produced before the new version was available.
This is the ONLY problem I've found with any of the Office 2007 programs so
far. I am EXTREMELY impressed with the new software, and am very happy with
the way Microsoft has improved both aesthetics and function. The new toolbars
at the top of the programs are ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. I have never found a
competitor's productivity software that was even in the same league with
Microsoft Office, and it looks like Microsoft has put even more distance
behind all of the "also rans" with this latest offering. Microsoft makes it
easy to remain a loyal customer!
