Powerpoint 2003 mixed with Office 2000

Q

Last year I installed a single copy of Powerpoint 2003 and installed it over
my existing Office 2000 Powerpoint. To be more clear, I now have Word and
Excel as 2000 products and Powerpoint 2003.

Unfortunately, I am no longer able to install any important updates to
either 2000 or 2003 products without receiving an error message. Anybody
have any tips? Is it not possible to mix the two?

Thanks!

It probably would have been better to install PPT2003 to a different folder so
the two didn't get mixed up.

If it were mine, and if I had all the CDs, I'd probably uninstall PPT2003 then
Office 2000. Then install 2000 and finally PPT2003 (but to a different folder)
