Powerpoint 2000 slide data lost when opening presentation in Power

I have a client that is opening presentations in Powerpoint 2003 that were
created in Powerpoint 2000. There are entire slides of data missing from the
presentation although the slide itself is still there. Some of the data was
created using Equation Editor but Equation editor is still on the compter.
Any suggestions?
