Power schemes are gone

[EH]

It seems all my power schemes have gone missing even the
default, i need a way to create new or add power schemes.
I tried system restore but it did not work. I really need
a fix for this since the machine i am using is a laptop.
Arrg i hate not have a low power mode. Please help!
