Power Point Outline text to Text in Word

Does anyone know how to take powerpoint text from the outline tab in
powerpoint & copy and paste it to Word without losing the format (like font,
tabs, spacing, etc.)? Please help if you can. My teacher puts all her
lectures in PowerPoint, but when I copy and paste the text into Word, it all
runs together (no spaces between lines, etc.).

Instead of copying the outline to Word, send it to Word as an outline. You
will retain some of the formatting - enough for reading and working with. In
2003 and earlier, you can do this via File--> Send to --> Word, outline. In
2007, the easiest way is to save the file as an outline and open that with
Word.
