Post-XP sp2 install: 16-bit tasks no longer appear in task manager

Toggling the Task Manager box "show 16-bit tasks" does nothing. It worked
pre-sp2.

The ntvdm.exe is there. The 16-bit apps used to appear as sub-processes of
ntvdm; no more.

All of my 16-bit apps work fine.

Ideas?

Thanks

Hi!

I also encountered this problem.
I discovered that if you change the value in:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\WOW\DefaultSeparateVDM"
from "yes" to "no", and than restart your machine, you'll be able to
see the 16-bit tasks in the Task Manager.
To my opinion it is still a bug since this registry value should no
effect the Task Manager view...
Hope someone else can find an explanation/solution to this problem...

Alon.
