How can I tell what program is blocking pop-ups? There are some pop-ups I
request but are blocked. I have windows xp sp2 and I disabled pop-up blocking
in I
E explore but am still getting pop-ups blocked. How can I find what program
is blocking them? I used msconfig and disabled all startup programs and
rebooted but still got the pop-ups blocked.

When you click something that requests a pop-up, hold down the CTRL key, then
click, then when pop-up shows, release the CTRL key!

Check in your tray by hovering over any icons present and
write down the programs names. Some common programs are
StopZilla, popstop, popupcop, google bar, yahoo companion.
With the bars, they'll have a popup stopper in the bar setup
and you'll need to disable this through their config menu.
Very tricky.

In 2 Timothy 3:1-7, there is a list of the qualities that
Unregenerate man will have in the last days. Is your quality
found there? If So, don't despair - Christ came to save His
people.

Do you have any other security software installed on your computer that
could be doing it? Just because the software is not listed in your startup
folder does not mean it is not started when you boot your computer. One of
the most common places to look to see what programs are started at boot-up
is in the Registry. Look in all keys are name either "Run" or "RunOnce", and
if there are any values in those keys that you do not want executed at
boot-up, delete them. You may also want to look in the Add/Remove section of
the Control Panel to see if a program got "accidentally" installed when you
installed something else or maybe somehow got installed from a website
without you knowing it. Those are the only things I can suggest looking at
that I know of, so good luck!
