Pop-Up occurs whenever I search anywhere, and changes my homepage.

Whenever I search, whether it be on Google, or Yahoo, or
anywhere else, I get this pop up
(res://mshp.dll/index.html#22776 if you need to know) and
then it resets my homepage to this site. It's even set as
my default home page. IT's really pissing me off and I
con't find a way to get rid of it... help?

First eliminate any scumware.
See

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

You can go to download.com and do a search for popup
killer 2.0 and then install that. The next time you get a
that popup just ad it to the list and then it shouldn't
come up again. I use this program my self.

Stan,

If Ad-Aware does help, download Hijackthis from the following site and send the log to me [[email protected]]

Did you get this figured out? Because I'm having the
same trouble! Started just a day or two ago. I have
download the Ad-aware and it found some
tracking "objects" but even after removing those, I still
get that stupid res://mshp.dll/index.html#22776 as my
home page!
