pointer display when you start a cd

Not a crucial thing but an issue that has been bothering me. I have loaded XP Pro on at least 6 machines. Sometimes XP will load and set itself up so that the pointer shows an icon of a cd next to it when you are loading a cd and it is spinning up in the drive. Sometimes it has loaded and shows the hourglass and other times nothing next to the mouse pointeras the cd spins up. I can't seem to find the place in XP Pro to make adjustments for this display function. Does anyone know why this happens and how to change it. thanks, marvyone
