Please help with error message in event viewer

Don Burnette

Took a look in event viewer today, and just noticed this.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1081
Date: 1/9/2007
Time: 7:39:22 PM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM

Description:
Windows cannot impersonate the user. (The handle is invalid. ). Group Policy
processing aborted.

Looks like, these error messages, just started appearing this week, on the
9th to be exact. And they have occured each day since.
I tried clicking on the send info to MS and get more info, but the response
was they had no more info on this subject.

Anyone ever see this and/or know what it is in regards to?

Thanks for any help

Thanks Wesley,

The gist of what I get from that, is to run the uphclean service. Back when
I built this system early last year, I was having some errors logging off,
and someone recommended that, I installed it at that time and have been
running it ever since.

This is the first time I have seen these warnings in event viewer...

Ok, have had the computer on all day, and took another look in event viewer.

It appears, this error message , is appearing right at every two hours!

I wonder, how concerned about this should I be?

Don,

As near as I can tell, you and that other fellow are the only folks to have
suffered from this. At least you are the only two to report anything that
can be found on the internet.

No info available. If you have additional information about this event
please submit it to us!
Event ID: 1081
Source Userenv

I will not bore you with what else I did not find.

Don,

We've been having an issue with previously installed copies of UPHclean.exe.
The .exe disappears from its program folder or the icon changes from
something colorful to a plain vanilla icon. We've yet to determine the cause
for the disappearance/change, but the solution is to re-install the program.
Check your installation of UPHclean, it may no longer be functioning.
