In viewing the'event viewer' (under applications) there appears a yellow explanation mark after every boot. Here's the actual
message:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1517
Date: 2006-02-27
Time: 9:47:27 pm
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: WINXP
Description:
Windows saved user WINXP\Vic registry while an application or service was still using the registry during log off. The memory used
by the user's registry has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is no longer in use.
This is often caused by services running as a user account, try configuring the services to run in either the LocalService or
NetworkService account.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
I looked at every service which is started and ALL belong to the LocalService. Guess this concerns me because it is an error which
is REGISTRY related (yikes!).
Can someone tell me what could be causing this error?
(it is not a started service)
Thanks
Vic
PS: is everyone checking their event viewer for errors?
right click my computer, manage, expand event manager and look in the folders!!
