Please help me...stop message screen

Rachel

Hey, I'm a college student, and my laptop which has
Microsoft Windows XP on it has been having problems. It
will just all of a sudden go to this grayish blueish
screen that says it's a Stop error message screen, and it
says something like "windows is being shut down to
protect your computer from an error, if this happens once
restart your computer, if it happens again then something
could be wrong with your video adaptor or your BIOS
software or something" I have no idea! If you know at
All what i am talking about PLEASE e-mail me anytime, so
i can work towards getting this thing fixed!!!
Thanks soooo much,
Rachel

Hi Rachel

Could you please post the Stop Code that accompanies the BSOD? The number
before the brackets.

There are no hardware conflicts and the machine is Windows XP SP2 XP3200+

I have a clean DXDIAG report as well, so I am lost as to why the machine
just shuts down with no warning.

Regards Stephen
