Planner Options Dialog

Does the planner options dialog have any effect on the permissions of other
users to see your calendar details or is it simply a tool to manage how much
detail is shown to you (assuming you have reviewer permissions or better)?

No, this only effects you. As an example:
If you select to show everything in your planner options,
then when you open a meeting, add invitees, the free/busy
starts trying to populate everything, it goes out and reads
whatever you have the rights to see.

This can be great, but it can also slow you down while
the system is busily trying to retrieve all that information
for you.
