Pioneer 106 DVD writer

I installed a Pioneer 106 DVD writer on my XP
machine. Whilst it is working fine, in "my computer" it
is listed as a cd drive. If I right click and select
properties it shows the properties of a recordable
device. Does anyone know why it is not being listed as a
DVD or DVD-R drive? Thanks in advance

You have to change the registry to get the name changed:
HKey_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE
