Hello Ken. . .not sure i'm doing this right. . .if not, accept my apologies.
..
I reinstalled the software that came with my dvd rw drive so it must be a
problem in windows. .
system restore does not correct the problem. . .the msg does say: .
"windows encountered a problem trying to copy this file, what do you
want windows to do?" then the option of "retry" or "cancel"
even if i "copy and paste" photos into the CD burning folder. . i get the
msg "you have files waiting to be written to the cd" but they are not
there. . .really need help. . . thanks R E (Gene) Foltz
Exactly how are trying to do this? This doesn't sound like it's an SP2 issue
at all.
First of all, Windows XP (with or without SP2) has no ability to write to a
DVD at all. Third-party software is required to do this.
Second, Windows XP (with or without SP2) has no ability to write to a CD as
if it were a giant floppy. You can only write to it using the Windows
CD-burning program. Again, third-party software (called packet-writing
software) is required for this capability.
