Picture placeholders disappear

I have a PowerPoint presentation ready to go to a client and I would like to
make it so they can delete a picture but the placeholder is still there and
they can easily add a new picture.

In the past, if I had a picture on a slide and deleted it, the placeholder
would stay and I would have to select the placeholder and hit Delete again.
Suddenly, that whole step disappeared... and I would like it back.

I am running Office 2007

I think selecting placeholder can be done in PPT2007 too.... I couldn't
recreate the problem you telling.
We can delete the placeholder by selecting the placeholder

Deleting the pic doesn't delete the placeholder for me either. Your client
might want to consider right click > change picture in 2007.

They may not know that they can right-click and change the picture...

But adding a picture placeholder to the Master Slide eliminated the problem!

Ah, yeah, I don't think it occurred to us that a placeholder would be added
anywhere but a Master. Glad the screenshots at the link in the other
thread helped you get it sorted out.
