Picture freezes during playback

I have a video that is 16 minutes long, 140MB, and when I save it to my
computer in the recommended setting, the pictures either freeze during
playback or the screen goes black. The music continues to play but there is
no photo or there is a frozen photo. Any suggestions? I am desperate.
