Picture freezes in Movie

I created a movie with pictures, transitions and audio (it is approximately
30 minutes long). It plays without any problems as a project, but when I
save it as a movie it will play fine for part of the movie and then it will
freeze on one picture and only play the audio going forward.

John may very well be right on this one but if you find that it is not a
file compatibility problem then it could be that the project is too complex
for the system resources. 30 minutes is quite an ambitious project when we
are talking about still images and audio without video. It may very well be
that splitting the project into more manageable pieces is the answer. See
this article on my website to explain how to split a project:

When I first started working with Photo Story and Movie Maker, I would burn
to DVD's that would run about 2/3 of the way through and then start to skip
and freeze. I did lots of online snooping and two suggestions have worked
well for me: (1) turn off all extraneous programs while burning and (2)
manually set the burn speed to a lower rate. Good luck ... I sympathize with
the frustration.
