I have my hard drive partitioned. Before reinstalling Windows, I copied
some folders with pictures in them to my D: drive. I then wiped out the C:
and reloaded Windows XP Pro. When I got to the desktop for the first time
after reloading Windows, the folders of pictures I had copied to the D:
drive were no longer folders. Instead they had become files with the
Windows logo on a white background as their icon, so there was no program
associated with them to open properly. These files were about 16KB in size.
Did these folders get corrupted and is there anyway to recover those
pictures?
Any help appreciated.
