Physical Disk Performance monitoring

Hi

I have an Windows 2000 SP4 which i would like to monitor using Performance
Monitor. Unfortunately the Physical Disk object is not visible in the
Performance Counters.

I have tried diskperf -y and rebooted the box with no effect. I had earlier
SP3 on this and hence i tried updating the same to SP4 but still the problem
persist. Once i enable the counters using Extcrlst and open the Perfman
window the Peformance Monitor service stops and events 1010 and 1017 related
to collect are logged in there.

I have tired searching for articles with respect to this and no luck till
now. In case if any one has faced this earlier, kindly suggest an solution
for the same.

Thanks

I have tried all those mentioned in this article. Nothing helps.
Is there any hotfix or anything for this.
