Photoshop starting

Hi
I have been using Photoshop 7 now with XP and service pack 2 and everything
has been fine . However all of a sudden when I click on the Photoshop icon it
starts to open then disapears for no reason. I have tried reinstalling
Photoshop but it doesnt help. I would appreciate any help from out there.

Try to rename

"C:\Documents and Settings\<your_name>\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop"

folder (say, as Photoshop.bad). If that will help -- you'll lose your
Photoshop preferences, so you'll be need to tune it again. Delete the
renamed folder after that.

If that won't help -- rename this folder back, and continue this thread.

Hi Mikhail,

I just ran into the same problem as tezterry. I did follow your
recommendation and I can get the Photoshop to run again. However, as you had
mentioned, the color setting is all mixed up. How can I restore the Photoshop
color setting to the original configuration. I tried playing with the colors
and that did not help much. The whole color swatch is Pink!!
Is there a simple way to do this?
