When I first visit the Microsoft Newsgroups (any of 25) I get the message:
"Windows Mail is unable to use Microsoft Communities at this time. Please
try signing into Microsoft Communities again later."

It's a bit meaningles, in that the connection is always made and the latest
posts are present.

Any thoughts welcome!

Following the message posted a minute ago, I receive a dialog box requesting
that I sign in. This is followed by an error, saying something like the
message was posted but an error occured. Drat! I lost the contents of the
error message from the clipboard.

The errors:

community server, so rating, category, and other community infomaton was not
included with the message. See the News error log for details, Account:

Just ignore it. It is an intermittent problem.

Or, go to Tools > Accounts > highlight Microsoft Communities > press Properties
button > Windows Live ID tab > click Never use Communities features... radio
button

Launch Windows Mail and from the Toolbar select:
Tools > Accounts and click once on "Microsoft Communities"
to highlight. Then click on Properties > Windows Live ID
and place a dot next to "Never use Community features that
require Windows Live ID" and click Apply.

I guess that's how they fix things. Just completely break it so no one can
use it.
