0x00000000\

What does this mean and why is it happening ?

Wasn't the error 0x00000044 ?

STOP: 0x00000004 is INVALID_DATA_ACCESS_TRAP
STOP: 0x00000044 is MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS
This is a Windows 2000 Executive character-mode STOP message. It indicates an
attempt was made to complete an IRP (I/O request packet) more than once, possibly
by more than one driver.

Have you added any hardware or updated any hardware drivers lately ?

None, the only thing I did was plug my MS
Wireless Optical Mouse into
the USB port on the back of the laptop rather than
on side where I usually
plug it in.

What happened when you plugged it back into the ps/2 (side of the
laptop) port after first shutting down and rebooting ?
