Hi! I am a new member and could do with some assistance.

PC regularly crashes at various times whether programmes open or not. When I reboot I get an error message (XP) relating to
WINODWS\minidump\mini20303-01.dmp, and
LOCALS\Temp\WER2.temp.dir00\sysdata.xml.

On other threads I have noticed references to cd rewriting and burning. I have Nero installed and have heard it mentioned that the IN CD may cause problems???? Is this so?

Afternoon,

One of the best ways to find out whether a prob is h/w or s/w is to disable all startup progs, this will rule out that something you've got running in the background is causing the prob or not.

Start -> Run -> "MSCONFIG" -> Start up -> Disable All -> Reboot

If it doesn't crash after reboot then you know that it's something that you've got installed on the system thats causing it to crash.

Regards

HI guys.

My problem appears to have been resolved. A new memory card had been installed and has now been replaced.

Many thanks for the many helpful replies.
