Patch for UMAX Astra 610P Scanner

I have been unable to install the driver for my UMAX
Astra 610P Scanner. According to Microsoft this scanner
should be recognizable by Windows XP. Is there a patch
or some other kind of upgrade which will enable me to
install and run my scanner.

Hmmm, being a parallel device, I wouldn't think XP could PnP it and
therefore install the driver automatically. Have you tried to install it
manually using the Hardware Wizard?

Just a thought (though I haven't tested it in 2 years).
