2 pc's, both XP Home sp2. Both connect to the internet through a Linksys
router and cable modem. Internet works fine for both. When trying to share
files, one pc (Son) can see shared folders on the other (Dad). Problem is
that Dad can't access shared files on Son. I get a user name and password
dialog. It won't let me change the user name and I don't know the password (I
do have admin rights). There is no password required for any of the accounts
on the pc, at least as far as I can see under the user manager. I noticed
when I checked net user guest that a password was required. Son's pc went off
to college for a while and I suspect they made some changes. It worked ok
before. Question is, how do I get rid of the password requirement?
