Keep getting one of these 2 messages: The new task has been created, but
may not run bcause the account information could not be set. The specific
error is Ox80070005: Access is denied. Try using the Task Page Browse
button to clocate the application. (I've done this) then following error
pops up: An error has occured while attempting to set task account
information. The specifice error is: Ox0070005: Access is denied. You do
not have permission to perform the requested operation. But I do, as I'm
the only user/Administrator on this computer, with no password to start
windows.
I wish to automate the running of disk defrag., adaware and Spybot to start
at certain times etc.

By default, Task Scheduler requires User accounts that don't have
blank passwords. To In order to schedule tasks you've got the
following options:

1. Create an admistrative account with a password and use that
account to run your scheduled tasks. Or add a password to your
account.

2. Change the following registry setting from 1 to 0:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\limitblankpassworduse

3. Download and run the script on the left hand side of line 67

Hi,

You will have to password your administrator account for it to work.

You can then use one of these options to logon automatically.

1. Go to Start - Run and type: control userpasswords2 and press
enter.

2. On the Users tab, left click your user name then clear the Users
Must Enter A User Name And Password To Use This Computer check box and
then click OK.

3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the "user
name and password" for the account you want to be logged on each time
you start your computer.

Note: If you want to logon to one of the other users, hold down shift
as the system boots up.

Tip: Add Control UserPasswords2 to the Control Panel (Line 1)

Tweakui is another option. Install and go to Logon - Auto logon to set
it up.
Microsoft PowerToys - Tweakui for WinXP: Ver. 2.10 requires WinXP SP1
and later

With NO Service Packs installed, the earlier version can be found
here:

TweakUI can be accessed from Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP
