Paging File size won't change

After I installed Service Pack 2, I got an error message
saying that my paging file size is too small, so I went
to the advanced tab, under system option, and changed my
paging file size to a suitable size. I than restarted my
computer like the message told me, but when I logged on I
still got the same message saying that my paging file
size is too small, and my paging file size hasn't
changed. I uninstalled Service Pack 2 and tried to change
my paging file size again, but it still would not change.
My computer says that I have 16 GB left on my harddrive
so why doesn't my paging file size want to change.
