On 23rd of last month, my computer worked fine... nothing was touched or
added except MSN updated to new MSN search engine. I have all updates and
service pack 2 on my XP. I have Spybot, ad-aware se, and the Microsoft beta
spyware remover program...and use them weekly. I don't have spyware or
viruses, so that's not the problem, but when I went to my online banking
website the page failed to load. I tried everything you can think of but
can't access the site, emptied the cache, restored the computer to earlier
date, turned off firewalls, popblockers, even called the online banking site
and they walked me thru everything they could think of, but I still couldn't
access the site. They had me try back doors and everything still nothing and
blamed my ISP. I even downloaded Firefox browser and get a new kind of
error,"a timed-out error". So I called my ISP... they pinged the site and
had the same results I did... nothing worked and blamed the bank website. The
site works on my other dial-up computer but, not on the DSL computer. My ISP
walked me thru all the same things that my online bank did and blamed it on
my computer... After that call, I called my bank again.... this time they had
many calls... all the same thing... Verizon with MSN users couldn't access
their site. When looking at the what's new with the search engine I
discovered they block porn sites from the search engine in a folder on my
computer, could this be why I get a white page when going to the site? They
think it's porn? Darn MSNBOTS !!! I think they call them... Is there anything
else I can do to get to my bank website? They said try another browser and
I've tried IE, MSN, Firefox and i'm not having any luck....Any
idea's...?????????
