P4P400-D voice messages?

I turned this feature on, including for booting and stuff, and I never get
any voice. Is the voice meant to come out the onboard audio or the system
speaker? Because it comes out neither (it does beep though).

I only bought this on the weekend.

Do I need to use the voice editing software first? Is there something wrong
with my board?

It's the newer revision I think, with the black ASUS chipset heatsink.

I will come out of the system speaker. So if you're getting a beep,
obviously all the connections are OK. If you did enable it in BIOS, must be
a board problem.

Personally, I found the boot voice to be of no value, and as I use a fan
with a Rheostat I kept getting a "CPU FAN FAILED" voice message. Turned off
this feature pretty quick.

Also, the voice should work right out of the box. The voice editor is only
if you want to add/change/delete something.
