P4C800-E Do you hear the POST beep?

I don't hear the POST beep. Yes, the onboard speaker is plugged into the
correct header. I have voice reporter turned off in the BIOS, but that
never worked either. Just a month ago, I heard the POST beep with my old
motherboard.

There are no beeps at all with that board unless something is wrong. Boot
with the keyboard unplugged and you should hear both a beep from the
internal speaker and the voice reporter through, IIRC, your ***external
speakers only***. In my case "she" said something very quickly to do with
the keyboard.

Then there is something wrong with my board. It beeps twice during the post,
once at the start of memory testing, and once when it's done. And it works
perfectly. No error messages, no problems. 100% rock solid. No memory
errors.

You said it, anything is possible. Just discovered that mine will always
beep **once** when Quick Boot is disabled. By default (QB enabled) it
doesn't beep at all unless something is wrong. Hope that clarifies the
situation.
