over-ride the local security policy of my laptop computer ??

How can I over-ride the local security policy of my laptop computer (which
is on a Windows 2000 native-mode domain) so that my LOCAL account username
can use a really short password? I don't care if my domain password has to
be long and complex, but I want the local one to be short.

At Admin Tools - Local security Policy, Account Policies - Password
