Please can anyone help me as I am getting the following error message

The extension configuration file "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\OFFICE11\ADDINS\msspc.ecf" could not be installed. There is an error
in the syntax or format of the file. This is what appears after I have
downloaded Outlook from a CD-ROM

that's a schedule plus congif file and shouldn't cause problems in 2003
unless it was an upgrade.

Tried as you suggested, but when the corrupt or missing file is trying to be
repaired, it says "OUTLSM11.MSI is missing, and this can't even be found on
the CD for outlook

the local cache might be messed up - try uninstalling the outlook entries in
add/remove and reinstall or repair the office suite from the cd. I don't
think you'll need to uninstall the suite, just any outlook's that are listed
in add/remove, but you can uninstall the suite too, if you want to be sure
it's going to work.
