I have a user who trashed her profile a few days ago. At least I think she
trashed it. When she would log in, there would be NO icons on her desktop
at all. I even logged into the console and no icons.

So, I backed up her data, deleted her old profile, created a new one, and
imported all her data over. She's been fine for a few days now.

Today she reports that "the same problems" have come up again. For the most
part, when she's trying to send an e-mail out, her session locks up. It
becomes no-responsive and she has to CTRL-ALT-DEL out to end the session and
I have to log in and reset it.

The profile she is working with now is the new one and the problem has come
up again. She will be working in her session and the session just locks up
when she trys to send mail out.

For now, I've had her move to another PC to see if the problem is with the
PC or the profile. I don't have enough data with which to make an
assessment yet, but I wanted to start this post to get some feedback.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks,

Cliff

Have you tried restoring her profile from a known good backup, or creating a
new profile and restoring the settings the user needs.
