Outlook will not open

Please help me. When I attempt to open Outlook, I get two error messages.

First it says that an extension file will not initialize (extend.dat) It
does not exist on my system.

When I close that error message the next one appears.

Unable to open default email folders. Access is denied You do not have
permission required to access outlook.pst.

This file does not exist on my sytem either.

Thank you.

it does - it's a hidden file. You need to enable hidden and system files in
your search.

that's ALSO a hidden file.

It does too. It's in the hidden folder %AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook.

It's likely that your PST is read-only. Did you copy this PST from a CD?
