outlook .wab conversion

I recently upgraded my XP home and now I want to import the outlook express address book to MS outlook. I upgraded the files system fromn fat32 to ntfs but it was not a clean install. The files (.wab and supporting files) are there but the .wab file has only the profile headers but not addresses.

Whats the proper way to convert them for 98se to xp?

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\WAB\WAB4

In the right pane, choose New/Dword Value and name it UseOutlook.
Set the value to 1.

Thanks for the info but it didn't seem to work......I'm not sure if I should import the address book or should it just be there?

Hi Dan,

You should really consult with the Outlook team. I only have hands on
experience with OE. That transformation is easy. Good luck!

Address Book: File>Export>Other address book>Text (CSV) file

You can then import the CSV file into OL.
