Outlook permissions lost in a non-exchange server Outlook

Gary.

After many years using Outlook and Outlook BCM I have suddenly lost many
permissions. I am not working on an "exchange" email server environment and
therefore permissions should not exist. How do I get it back to working as a
normal Outlook program?
I was once in a wireless environment where an exchange server was present.
Could that have caused my problem?

Hello Dianne,

I have lost calendar permissions (i.e. I cannot make new appointments or
alter old ones), email folder permissions (i.e. I try to drop emails from my
in-box into a sub-folder that I have used over many years yet it suggests
that I now need permission). If I create a new folder I can move the email to
that folder.

The calendar and email problems are the ones that are creating problems for
me.

Many thanks in anticipation of a further reply.

I don't think those are related to exchange. Did you try resetting the view?
That seems to fix a lot of the 'can't do it' errors. Deleting the forms
cache might help too.

If you need help with either, see

Your reply got me thinking about any changes which may have affected my
Outlook views. Something which may have coincided was the installation of
Google Desktop integration with Outlook. This may have done more than I had
counted on?

It certainly is a suspect.
