I was on the phone last night being bounced back and forth
between Road Runner, Norton, Microsoft, and HP trying to
fix an email problem. I spent hours on the phone with HP
talking to someone in India that was very difficult to
understand and they wouldn't even talk to me until I paid
them $30.00. None of them said it was their problem and
passed me on. About two weeks ago I noticed that the
number of emails I was receiving seemed to drop. In the
past two days I have found out that several people have
sent me emails and I have recieved none of them. Last
night I sent myself an email to see the results. It did
not go into my inbox but directly to my "deleted items"
file. I also had someone send me an email while I was on
the computer. I heard the receiving email alert tone and
saw on the bottom right corner it said "receiving mail"
but nothing ever went into my inbox. It did not go into
my delete file either it just went to points unknown.
Does anyone know what to do to correct this?

See if you have accidentally added your email address to the "Blocked
Senders" list. (Tools-Message Rules-Blocked Senders List)

You might also want to try this:
For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://communities.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.asp?icp=InternetExplorer
to get to the Internet Explorer groups, then click the plus sign next to
your version of IE to see the link to the Outlook Express group for that
version number. Good luck!

1. Scrutinize your Blocked Senders list carefully.

2. Have you any Message Rules configured to delete a message from the server
or not download it?
