OUTLOOK EXPRESS PROBLEMS WITH ADDRESS BOOK

Hie,

For the last year I was running Win 98 with OE6 and free Hotmail
account. I had the smarts to backup my OE6 addressbook (file extension
".wab") I had to format my hard drive because of spyware invasion. I
reinstalled Win 98 and ended up with OE5 which would not upgrade to OE6
from Microsoft website automatically. So now I have been struggling to
open up my OE6 addressbook in both OE5 and Microsoft Outlook 2000 with
no luck. Can anyone give me any hints about how to access some really
important data in the addressbook file?

Thanks....

You must have OE6 to open an address book prepared with OE6. If you do not
have OE6, all you can do is find a user who does have OE6 and open the book
on that computer and export the info from the address book as a CSV (comma
separated value) file. This is because the version of the Address Book also
changed (to version 6) with the introduction of OE6.
