Outlook Express 6

Hi,2 days ago my outlook express 6 program was working
fine, however, when I retrieved my messages yesterday all
I recieved was the top boxed sections containing sender
etc, and no VISIBLE message text. The boxed section also
didn't show any attachment, however, when I printed out
the file, 2 attachments were shown,one as ATT00078.txt,
the other ATT00079.htm.
I used FILE, Save Attachment to disc, and opened with
windows explorer and could then read a plain text
message, so obviously I am getting the messages, I just
can't see them anymore. All my incoming and outgoing
emails are checked with an up to date version of Nortons
Antivirus. Any suggestions or assistance would be
appreciated.

I've had this, Some body is sending you an attachment that Outlook Express can't interpret properly. So it changes the document or file further & the result is the later mention scrambled mess, which is unreadable/corrupted

The only solution I know of, is to this is to get the sender to resend the information in a different format.
