[Outlook 2007] Search not functioning

G

Guest

Greetings all,

I am hoping someone can help me out here. I am running Outlook 2007 and am
unable to get the quick search feature to work. Regardless of what I search
for, I am always told:

No matches found for "{what ever I am searching for}"
Try searching again in All Mail Items

Does anyone have a clue as to why this would be happening?

Tools-> Instant Search-> Indexing Status... gives you the status of the
indexer.

If you are using the search box above the message list make sure the item
you are searching for is in that folder. If not; use the All Mail Items
search.

Also if you are indexing a pst-file you might want to check it for errors
with scanpst.exe. The indexer could stop indexing when the pst-files
contains errors.
