Here is an interesting problem that I need help with.
We have a client with Windows XP and Office 2003.
The office suite programs launch OK but Outlook
has a problem once it launches and appears to close
then it cannot be re-opened. Under the processes list in
task manager
OUTLOOK.EXE does not close itself as it should and each
subsequent
attempt to open it launches a new occurrence of
OUTLOOK.EXE.
When I end the processes then Outlook launches fine again.
The problem repeats for another user logged on a
different account
so it is something in the PC that is messing us up and
not her profile.
We ran an Office 2003 Office Repair.
We ran an Outlook 2003 Detect and Repair.
Neither helped.
What is causing the process not to close?
