Outlook 2003 - Web Access

How do I get a 'Favorites' menu item to appear, either in the menus or as a
button in the Web toolbar? There are buttons to 'add to favorites' and
'organise favorites' but not to select and view favorites, as there was in
Outlook 2000.

It is obviously possible to view web pages from within Outlook because
'outlook update' in 'my shortcuts' takes you to the MS Office update site.
How do you create new shortcuts to appear in 'my shortcuts' for other web
sites?

Right click on a menu/toolbar and select customize. Go to the command tab.
From the selection list on the left, drag Favorites up to the menu bar. OK
out.

Tried that, the button for 'favorites' isn't in the 'commands' list to be
dragged up, just 'add to favorites' and 'organize favorites'.

Favorites obviously appears in the left hand 'categories' list but you can't
drag/drop these into the menu or tool bars.

Incidentally, since posting I've discovered how to create web shortcuts in
the navigation pane, ie create new folder, right click folder in nav pane,
paste URL into its home page tab. Not exactly very intuitive is it?!

Found it now - it's under 'menu bar' not 'favorites'. Wonder why it wasn't
in the menu bar by default?

couldn't answer and i don't tend to browse the 'net from outlook.

by the way, there is another way to add a shortcut to a site. create a
standard desktop shortcut (*.lnk) that contains the url. drag that to the
shortcut panel. at this point you can rename the shortcut in outlook and/or
delete the desktop shortcut.
