Outlook 2003 send error

Hi,

When sending and receiving via pop3 to Yahoo, I am getting an error that
indicates I have not authorized correctly with yahoo's mail server. The
interesting thing is that I get this message regardless of whether I have any
outstanding messages to send. When I click send/receive with NO outstanding
messages, Outlook says 'sending 1 message' and I get the connection error.
When I have an actual outgoing message, it send just fine and then the
'phantom e-mai'' generates this error once again.

So, a recap. Sending works just fine but there seems to be a phantom
outgoing message, addressed incorrectly, that generates a refusal from
yahoo's mail server.

How do I solve this?

Thanks!

You solve this by contacting Yahoo and getting the correct info for their setup for Outlook

Thanks for the reply but a careful reading of my note reveals that I am
having NO TROUBLE WHATSOEVER sending e-mails via outlook and Yahoo. There
appears to be a 'phantom outgo9ing message' that I cannot see in outlook.
Messages I write do just fine and are sent through outlook to yahoo. The
issue is that there are no messages in my outbox and yet outlook is trying to
send something, for which there is no evidence, and generating this error
REGARDLESS OF WHETHER I HAVE ANY CURRENT, UNSENT MESSAGES.
