Outlook 2003 is not receiving mail. No error codes.

Approx. 1 week ago Outlook stopped receiving email. There were no error
codes. It just quit receiving. No problem sending email. I have Outlook
2003 ~ Windows XP Media Edition 2002. Have checked my settings for email
under Tools and have tested same. Everything checks out as correct. I have
closed out my email and re-entered all the info. three times. I have
disengaged Norton's scanning of incoming and outgoing email. Nothing I do
makes any difference. I have a Yahoo email address. Email is going to that
address, but it does not come to Outlook, even though the indicator at the
lower right hand side of the screen tells me Outlook is receiving email. One
exception: Some junk mail has come through to Outlook even though regular
email does not. Please, can someone help me? I have tried every source I
can find. I even contacted CenTel (my ISP). The technician did not have a
clue. He referred me to Outlook where I might able to get help ~ for a fee.

This is Ozark Mama answering my own question. I could not get any help from
support groups, etc. Maybe this will help someone else who has been beating
their head against the wall with nowhere to go. Finally, out of sheer
desperation I went to the Control Panel and removed (cancelled or deleted) my
profile. I entered my original profile name and clicked use this profile
only (or words to that effect). I automatically ended up in Tools ~ e-mail
accounts which was now totally blank. I re-entered all the correct
information and clicked in on Advanced and made certain the information there
had not been dropped. Where it had, I entered the correct info. I ran a
test and all of a sudden Outlook was restored in all its glory. I had
performed each of these steps many many times before, but apparently not in
the correct order. I sure hope this information helps someone who is totally
lost and computer illiterate as I am.
